A REALLY EARLY attempt at writing a song for me...and I think one of the first ones that came out sounding like a song. It's also the first time I wrote vocal harmonies, too. It's kind of Garth Brooks-y, but more pop than country. I recorded this particular performance of it in the basement of Wright Hall at Shippensburg University on an old Akai (I think it was Akai) DR4 hard-disk 4-track. It was a pretty archaic studio for such a new piece of gear to be in it (this was April or May of 1997, mind you), but it worked. I'd love to put together a full-blown arrangement of this one one day...we'll see.
