About "The Valley"

This one came about as I was missing my old life as a college student. I got the inspiration for using the F and C chords like I do from my little brother Caleb (he had another piece that he stole from Uncle Tupelo that did a similar thing, but sounded nothing like this - his was more bluegrass). In case anyone was wondering, the nectar of "the ville of many pots" is Yuengling Lager (from Pottsville, PA). This was recorded in the bathroom of my parents' house, using my brother William's Simon and Patrick SP6 Cedar while he was away being a Marine. It's just that acoustic guitar and my voice. There's nothing else on the track except my singing and that guitar. I flipped it over and did the percussion parts. No drums necessary...
